Most Asian markets trade lower as Fed sticks to hawkish stance
Asian markets opened mostly lower on Thursday taking cues from US Federal Reserve’s hawkish stance on Wednesday.bonaz capital
Wednesday also saw prices of metals dropping with copper leading the way.
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 is lower by 0.45% in the morning session of the trade.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index is lower by 0.39%. The Shanghai Composite lost 0.59% and the Shenzhen Composite lost 0.51% in the early trading session today.
The South Korean index Kospi is up by nearly 0.5% after being closed on Wednesday.
Singapore’s Straits Times Index is down by 0.48% while Taiwan’s Taiex is up by 0.01%.
Markets in Japan remain closed on Thursday for the Greenery Day holiday.
