BSE Metal Index soars 3%; NALCO, Vedanta stocks rise
The BSE Metal index soared during Thursday’s trade. The index was trading at 14,667 level, up by 471 points or 3.3%. NALCO was the top gaining stock in the index, higher by 8% at Rs86.45 per share on BSE.
The metal stocks were trading after copper and aluminium prices rose in international markets.
National Aluminium Company Ltd is currently trading at Rs86.20 up by Rs6 or 7.48% from its previous closing of Rs80.20 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs83.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs87.90 and Rs83.15 respectively.
Hindalco Industries Ltd is currently trading at Rs256.35 up by Rs13.75 or 5.67% from its previous closing of Rs242.60 on the BSE.
Tata Steel Ltd is currently trading at Rs619.70 up by Rs18.2 or 3.03% from its previous closing of Rs601.50 on the BSE.
JSW Steel Ltd is currently trading at Rs320.40 up by Rs10.5 or 3.39% from its previous closing of Rs309.90 on the BSE.
