‘BUY’ or ‘SELL’ ideas from experts for Friday, 30 December 2016
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty are likely to open on a flat note with positive bias on Friday tracking mixed global cues. Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX Nifty) was trading 18.50 points, or 0.23 per cent, up at 8,135, indicating a positive start for NSE Nifty index. Asian peers Hang Seng and Shanghai were up by 0.77 per cent and 0.11 per cent, in morning trade, while Nikkei index was trading down by 0.40 per cent.
Wall Street ended marginally in red on Thursday, held down by bank shares in quiet holiday trading as traders looked to position for the New Year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 13.9 points, or 0.07 per cent, to 19,819.78, the S&P 500 lost 0.66 points, or 0.03 per cent, to 2,249.26 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 6.47 points, or 0.12 per cent, to 5,432.09.
Back home, the BSE Sensex closed 155.47 points, or 0.59 per cent, up at 26,366.15 on Thursday, while NSE Nifty ended 68.75 points, or 0.86 per cent, up at
