Aluminium trading range for the day is 108.1-110.9.Aluminium dropped tracking weakness from LME Aluminium which dipped 0.1 percent to finish at $1,644.50 after touching $1,632, the weakest since Aug. 5.Global aluminium production fell by 1.2% to 33.12mts in the first seven months of this year, according to the International Aluminium Institute Aluminium daily stocks at Shanghai exchange came down by 851 tonnes. Warehouse stock for Aluminium at LME was at 2253775mt that is down by -5325mt.
Natural gas trading range for the day is 184.1-195.3. Natural gas prices rallied in a series of far-below-average storage additions convincing traders a glut is easing. Energy Information Administration said natural-gas stockpiles grew by 11 billion cubic feet last week A smaller-than-expected addition to storage likely indicates smaller supply and additions have been far smaller. The hottest summers on record and hot weather typically spurs strong demand for gas-fired power to run air conditioners.
Jeera trading range for the day is 17405-18575. Jeera prices ended with losses driven by easing demand in the spot market. Export of jeera fell 37 per cent in 2015-16 to 98,700 tonnes, also lower than the Spices Boards target of 100,000 tonnes. NCDEX accredited warehouses jeera stocks gained by 38 tonnes to 5664 tonnes.
Turmeric trading range for the day is 7262-7554.Turmeric gained on short covering after prices dropped on weak demand at the spot market. As per sources, production year 2015-16 started with carry-forward stocks of 1.4 lakh tonnes compared to 2.1 lakh tonnes in 2014-15.NCDEX accredited warehouses turmeric stocks dropped by 20 tonnes to 7541 tonnes.
Crudeoil trading range for the day is 3099-3209.Crude oil recovered trimming this week’s losses despite reports suggesting Saudi will not curb production. Traders are eyeing next month’s OPEC meeting; a Saudi official reportedly said that no significant intervention in oil markets is needed. Markets remained fixated on a global supply glut and amid fading hopes that major oil producers will reach a deal to freeze output. Traders are now looking ahead to tomorrows Jackson Hole speech on interest rates from Fed Chair Janet Yellen.
Zinc trading range for the day is 151.8-155.6.Zinc ended up as investors continued to bet that lower mine output would create shortages. A report showed that U.S. orders for long lasting manufactured goods bounced back more than forecast in July, recovering from the prior months decline. Zinc daily stocks at Shanghai exchange came down by 400 tonnes. Warehouse stock for Zinc at LME was at 455075mt that is down by -200mt.
Soyabean trading range for the day is 3331-3473. Soyabean prices dropped on expectation of higher yield in global market and on subdued demand for soymeal in domestic market. Prices of bean were under pressure on higher supply hope following favourable weather across the major soybean producing region. Sowing progress in leading soybean producers like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan improved following good rains.
Mentha oil trading range for the day is 858.5-910.3. Mentha oil spot at Sambhal closed at 1036.30 per 1kg. Spot prices is down by Rs.-11.90. Mentha oil prices ended with losses driven by a fall in demand from consuming industries in the spot market. China and Japan have reduced their buying quantity in the recent past due to the economic slowdown had impacted Mint products exports. At Sambhal market sources reported arrivals at 125 Drums(1-drum=180kg), down by 25 Drums(1-drum=180kg) from previous trading day.
Nickel trading range for the day is 644.7-675.9. Nickel dropped after worries eased that an environmental crackdown on mines in the Philippines would create shortages of metal. With only several mines having been closed or suspended, worries about a blanket ban seem to have been unfounded. There is also increased focus on a surge in exports from Indonesia of ferronickel Warehouse stock for Nickel at LME was at 372414mt that is down by -792mt.
Copper trading range for the day is 305.7-310.9.Copper dropped as prices seen under pressure from a rise in LME copper stocks, bringing total stocks to 263,875, a jump of 72 percent since June 1.New orders for U.S. manufactured capital goods rose for a second straight month in July as demand for machinery and a range of other products picked up. The upbeat data bolstered expectations of faster economic growth and raised the probability of a Federal Reserve interest rate increase this year. Silver trading range for the day is 43302-44098.Silver dropped adding to losses after a pair of U.S. economic reports increased the chances of an interest rate increase in coming months. Data showed new orders for U.S. manufactured capital goods rose for a second straight month in July. Holdings at ishares silver trust dropped by 0.53% i.e. 59.08 tonnes to 11100.66 tonnes from 11159.74 tonnes. Market players are hoping Yellen will give a clearer signal on the path of U.S. interest rate hikes when she addresses a meeting of central bankers in Jackson Hole.
Gold trading range for the day is 30741-31147.Gold seen under pressure from upbeat U.S. data in the run-up to a speech by Fed Yellen that will be watched for clues on monetary policy. Top Federal Reserve officials defended their view that the U.S. central bank should probably raise interest rates soon. SPDR gold trust holdings dropped by 0.19% i.e. 1.78 tonnes to 956.59 tonnes from 958.37 tonnes. A report showed an unexpected drop in the number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits last week.
