Axis Bank: The bank’s core operating profit for the quarter grew by 27% QoQ, and PAT was up 111% QoQ. On a YoY basis, the Net Profit for Q4FY17 and FY17 contracted by 43% and 55%, to 1,225 crores and 3,679 crores respectively, as per the BSE filing.
LIC Housing Finance: The rating of the company was reportedly maintained as outperform by the global brokerage house, Credit Suisse.
GIC Housing Finance: The company has reported a 24.4% rise in net profit at Rs 46.61 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2017, as against Rs 35.87 crore for the same period of the previous fiscal.
Sterlite Technologies: The company on Wednesday reported a 16.27% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 63.66 crore in the fourth quarter this year, due to demand for fibre required to build high-speed networks. The company had posted a net profit of
Rs 54.75 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Tata Sponge Iron: The company on Wednesday has reported a 62% jump in consolidated profit of Rs 21.20 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. The company in the same quarter a year-ago had reported a consolidated profit of Rs 13.08 crore, as per the BSE filing.
