Indian ADRs closed with mixed sentiments in the trading session of May 2.
In the Banking sector, ICICI Bank closed lower by 1.05% at USD 8.48; and HDFC Bank closed higher by 1.42% at USD 81.39. bonaz capital
In the IT sector, Infosys closed lower by 0.14% at USD 14.52; and Wipro closed higher by 0.71% at USD 9.96.
In the other sectors, Tata Motors closed lower by 1.02% at USD 34.81; and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories closed higher by 0.76% at USD 40.85.
The US stocks ended Tuesday’s session with marginal gains with the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite finishing at a record high for the second session on the back of robust earnings. However, investors mostly held off from making big bets, with the Federal Reserve engaged in a two-day policy which ends on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 35 points to close at 20,950. The S&P 500 index rose 3 points to end at 2,391. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 4 points to finish at a record level of 6,095.
Coming now to Indian markets, Nifty was oscillating in the red and green zone in Tuesday’s trading session. However, it managed to close above the crucial level of 9300 level at 9313 level up by 9 points. Sensex closed at 29921 higher by 2 points.
