JLR sales up by 35% in the US
The luxury car producer Jaguar Land Rover posted a massive growth of 35 per cent in its sales in the US markets in April 2017 against a growth of 19 per cent in March 2017.
The Tata Motors subsidiary sold 8,441 units in the US in April 2017, against 6,275 units sold in same month last year, accrediting most of the growth in sales to the sales driven by Jaguar.
However, Morgan Stanley in its report stated that the company’s Land Rover model’s sales are likely to improve in the coming months.
The company posted strong product mix with Range Rover and Range Rover Sport posting a growth of 9 per cent and 26 per cent in April 2017 on a YoY basis.
At 13:25 hrs IST, the stock traded at Rs 452, up by 0.17 per cent on the BSE on May 3, 2017.
