In line with Indian markets, ADRs also closed mostly higher on Tuesday
In line with the upward rally in the Indian markets, Indian ADRs also closed mostly higher in the trading session of April 25.
In the IT sector, Infosys closed higher by 0.76% at USD 14.54; and Wipro closed lower by 0.92% at USD 9.69 owing to poor quarterly results in Indian markets.
In the Banking sector, ICICI Bank closed higher by 1.91% at USD 8.53; and HDFC Bank closed higher by 0.64% at USD 80.46.
In the other sectors, Tata Motors closed higher by 1.4% at USD 34.66; and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories closed higher by 0.9% at USD 41.28.
In Tuesday’s trading session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 232 points to 20,996. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 42 points to 6,025. The S&P 500 gained 14 points at 2,389.
Coming now to Indian markets, NSE Nifty closed at 9306.6 levels, up by 88 points or 0.96%; while BSE Sensex closed at 29943 levels, up by 287 points or 0.97% in Tuesday’s trading session.
